Sometimes we need a helping hand but
other times we can be that helping hand
for someone else.
Yad Moshe is a thoughtful group of people who recognize that
there are times to give and yet also times to take.
That is what we mean by benevolence!
Our mission?
- To promulgate the benevolence of Heaven through acts of lovingkindness on Earth.
Our mandate?
- To be a gathering of people
- To support worthy projects and causes
- To be relevant, non-authoritative, inclusive and, at all times, benevolent
A Team effort
The Service Team- You’re Invited! This is the team that gets together to think up new ideas and then put the ideas into action. Five different roles make up this team, and yet what is held in common is a commitment to benevolence!
The Finance Team Two members of the Service Team are designated as the Finance Team. The flow of resources is an important part of making our dreams come true. It can be just as much effort- or perhaps even more effort- to be a part of the Finance Team because this team has to hold two viewpoints at the same time when making decisions about how things should be done in the most benevolent way.
Our Membership- You’re Invited! Not everyone needs to be on a Team to feel a part of the benevolent projects of Yad Moshe! We have a growing number of good, caring, busy and -of course- benevolent people who take on their role as the need for benevolence continues to grow. If you ask yourself why we need another “do-good” group, please remember our goal is only to add to the world in a positive way, and we avoid replacement theology in all its forms!
Our Constituency- You’re Invited!
Do you live in Louisville, Kentucky? Are you interested in showing benevolence to the Jewish community here or in the land of Israel? If so, we would like to consider you our constituency and we invite you to think about what needs we could fulfill in our benevolent way! Thank you!
There are many different ways to be a taker, and it doesn’t have to be a negative either.
You could take your time to do a job right.
You could take an opportunity to say thanks.
How about taking the long way to enjoy some scenery?
Take a trip to visit a trusted friend?
You could take down notes during an inspiring lecture.
Perhaps you could take the initiative to join a prayer group.
You could take a bouquet of flowers to an ill aquaintance.
And you could take help from someone else who offers it, because you know you could really use it at that moment.
There are many different ways to be a giver, as well and it is not only in terms of dollars and cents.
You could give your trust to someone who offers to be there for you in a difficult time.
You could give time out of your day to express that things may not be a perfect as they appear.
How about giving room for another person in your life who understands what you are going through?
You could give the gift of friendship.
Perhaps you could give your name to be added to a prayer list.
You could give your mother a call on the phone!
